This Privacy Policy explains how Moroccan Straw Bags (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit moroccanstrawbags.com, request a wholesale quote, contact us, or interact with our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. We are the controller of your personal data.

Information we collect

Information you give us — through our quote form, contact form, Facebook/Instagram lead forms, email or WhatsApp: your name, company, email, phone, country, the products and quantities you are interested in, any file you upload, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically when you browse the site: IP address, device and browser information, and the pages and products you view, through cookies and similar technologies.

Order information — if you place an order, the billing, shipping and order details needed to process it.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in free-text fields or uploaded files.

How and why we use your data

We use your data to: respond to your wholesale enquiry and send pricing, the catalogue, samples and follow-ups (to take steps at your request prior to a contract, and in our legitimate interest in business-to-business sales); process and deliver orders (to perform a contract); send marketing where you have opted in (with your consent); measure and improve the site and our advertising (with your consent and/or our legitimate interest); and meet our legal obligations.

Advertising and marketing

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram (Meta). If you submit a Meta lead form, Meta shares your details with us so that we can follow up. We use website and advertising tools to show relevant ads — including to people who have visited our site (“retargeting”) — and to measure their results. We only send promotional emails to people who have opted in, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use: strictly necessary cookies for site operation, security, caching and shopping-cart functionality; analytics (Google Analytics via Google Site Kit) to understand how the site is used; and advertising technologies — the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. To measure conversions and show relevant ads, some data (such as an irreversibly hashed version of your email, together with your IP address and browser information) may be shared with Meta in pseudonymised form. Where required (for example for visitors in the EU/EEA), non-essential cookies are used only with your consent. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Who we share your data with

We share data only with service providers who help us run our business, under appropriate agreements, and with authorities where legally required. These include Meta (advertising and lead ads), Google (analytics and our spreadsheet-based CRM), our lead-automation provider, our web host and email provider, WhatsApp (Meta), shipping partners such as DHL, and payment providers where applicable. We do not sell your personal data.

International data transfers

We are based in Morocco, and some of our providers (such as Meta and Google) process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses and/or their certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and customer-relationship data for as long as needed to handle your request and maintain our business relationship, and afterwards only as required for legal, accounting or dispute purposes — typically up to 36 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is legally required. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on your location — and for EU/EEA residents under the GDPR — you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Children

Our site and products are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

Security
